FAQ
WHO IS AN RRC MEMBER?
Anyone who is a part of a book club that works in association with RRC (thus, an RRC Chapter) is an RRC member with the responsibility of helping other readers rise.
DO I HAVE TO BE A MEMBER TO PARTICIPATE IN RRC?
Yes, you need to signup, create your account and mention in your profile description which RRC Chapter you belong to.
HOW DO I JOIN RRC IF I DON'T HAVE AN ESTABLISHED RRC CHAPTER AROUND ME, OR IF I DON'T KNOW ABOUT ANY CHAPTER?
Contact us and let us know if you wish to join the movement but do not have contact with any chapter. We'll look for chapters that you can join and connect you accordingly.
WHAT KIND OF ACTIVITIES HAPPEN BEYOND THE CLUB?
The idea behind RRC is to create a community of readers who share a vision in helping other readers rise. It is thus required of each RRC member to donate books or conduct a reading session, narrate stories, engage in storytelling activities (either on a one-on-one basis or with groups, for example, NGOs) with someone in need of exposure to reading activities. You can contact your chapter coordinator for more such ideas and help with going through them.
HOW DO WE SHARE THE ACTIVITIES WE CONDUCT AFTER EACH CLUB MEETING?
Before each book club meeting, you have to submit your affidavit, from the previous club meeting, that describes and confirms your activity to the chapter coordinator. This ensures that you're abiding by the RRC requirements and can thus continue with the next book club meet of your chapter.
HOW OFTEN DO THESE CLUBS MEET?
Each chapter functions completely independently while following RRC guidelines. The book meets can thus be conducted as often as the chapter wishes; however, in no case should two club meets be more than six weeks apart in time.
HOW CAN I START A NEW RRC CHAPTER?
At the moment, the website hasn't incorporated the portal for chapter registrations. But you can contact us on the email id or through the 'Get in Touch' button if you wish to discuss initiating a new chapter.
